As we near the end of another year, it’s a wonderful time to reflect. 2025 has been a particularly special year, as it marked the beginning of Oceanside Podiatry. Since opening our doors on 24 January, I’ve had the pleasure of welcoming over 300 patients into the clinic.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has trusted me with their foot health this year. It has truly been a privilege to support our local community, and while starting a small business has certainly come with a learning curve, it has been an incredibly rewarding journey that I am thoroughly enjoying.
As we head into the festive season and the warmer summer months, here are a few simple tips to help keep your feet healthy:
- Don’t ignore foot pain.If you’re experiencing heel pain, sore toes, or ongoing discomfort, it’s best to book an appointment sooner rather than later.
- Keep moisturising your heels.Cracked heels can become painful and may lead to infection if they split and bleed.
- Protect your feet. While going barefoot can be tempting in summer, wearing footwear helps reduce the risk of cuts, burns, and other injuries.
- Choose supportive footwear.Supportive slides and thongs are a better option than walking barefoot for extended periods.
I look forward to continuing to care for the local community of Leopold and the Bellarine Peninsula throughout 2026 and beyond. Clinic hours are Monday 9–5, Tuesday 9–6, and Friday 9–3.
Wishing you all a safe, happy, and enjoyable festive season.
